      Doni Evetta Villavaso, age 51, passed away on December 27, 2020. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana. Doni was born August 1, 1969 to Etta Jane “Penny” Villavaso and the late Donald P. Villavaso.

      Doni was a graduate of Ursuline Academy, class of 1987. She established her career in Occupational Therapy as a Certified Hand Therapist after obtaining her Bachelor of Arts from Northeast Louisiana University (now, ULM) and Masters of Science from Shenandoah University. She was employed by Ochsner and was the former owner of Hand Therapy Experts in Santa Monica, CA. She was also a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

      Doni was a lover of the arts. A true creative spirit, she immensely enjoyed all types of music and the vast beauty of nature. She will be deeply missed by so many whose lives were made better just by knowing her.

      Doni is survived by her mother, Etta Jane “Penny” Villavaso; her half-brothers, Wayne Villavaso (Tuula) and Steve Villavaso (Gina); her “little sister” Nicole Contreras; and her dogs, Julip and Mande. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other extended family members and close friends.

      She is preceded in death by her father, Donald P. Villavaso; and her dog, Jazz Villavaso.
