- Thomas Neely, Sr. brought his family to Pennsylvania between 1727 and 1738. Paid taxes in Chichester, Chester Co., PA. in 1739. He was then paying taxes in upper Chichester Township (Chester Co. Tax lists 1693-1640). In 1740 he also paid taxes in Chester Co., in 1747 and 1749 in West Nantmeal Township of Chester Co., and on January 30, 1750 on 120 Acres in Chester Co. (Pennsylvania Archives, 3d Series, Vol XXIV, P.91) On February 20, 1746, Thomas Neely was paying taxes, likewise, on 100 acres in Lancaster Co., formed from Chester Co. in 1720
